Hospitals and clinics differ, and I would rather you check than have a box turned away.
- Ask what the unit allows
- Many hospitals have rules about gifts and food, and some ask that gifts go through a manager or a shared room. I do not know the rule at yours, so ask the unit manager or the front desk first.
- Address it to the unit
- Put the unit or department, the hospital, and a phone number, rather than one person, so the whole shift shares it. If you can, tell the unit to expect it.
- Tell me about allergies
- A shared staff room means I cannot know what everyone can eat. Say so, and I pack the box that suits anyone, or leave out whatever you name.
What to write
You do not have to be eloquent. Say what they did, and that you noticed. Two I might copy out for you.

Can I send a gift basket to a hospital?
You can send a box to a hospital address, but check the unit’s rules first. Some hospitals limit gifts or food, ask that they go through a manager or a volunteer office, or do not take deliveries to a ward. I cannot tell you the rule for yours.
Who should I address it to?
The unit or department and the hospital, with a phone number, rather than one person. That way it reaches whoever is working and the whole team shares it.
What is in a thank-you basket for staff?
Something to eat, something to drink and something worth keeping. I do not list the contents, because they change with the season. If there are allergies, tell me and I leave those out.

Can a company send it?
Yes. Many of these orders are a company thanking a care team, with the card from the company. Corporate orders of five or more go through the order desk at the bottom of the page.
Do you send to clinics, care homes and dental offices?
Yes, anywhere in Canada, free. The same advice holds: ask what the place accepts, and address it to the team rather than one person.
Is there a price inside the basket?
No price is shown on anything inside a box.
What does it cost?
Signature $119, Premier $189, Luxury $299, each before tax, with shipping and a handwritten card included. A box takes 1 to 7 days in transit, and I cannot promise an exact date.
