Pick a size and how many
Anywhere from 5 to 25 boxes, all to one office or each to their own address. You see the total before you do anything else, with shipping already in it.
Tell me who they are for
A first name and a line about each person, what the cards should say, and your logo. Your logo goes on every card, free.
I pack every box by hand
Each one packed for the person on your list, with their card on top, and shipped free anywhere in Canada. Want to see them first? Ask, and I'll send you a photo before they go out.
What's inside, and what it costs
Every size comes in the same sturdy, rigid box with a magnetic lid, made to be kept long after the gift is gone. Prices are per box, with shipping, a handwritten card and your logo included, and no tax added. Whether you send 5 or 25, it's the same box: no bulk version, no thinner filling.
These are examples of what goes in, not a fixed list. The exact pieces can change with the season or the person, and you can tell me anything to leave out.

Thanks for the year, Sam. Go home early on Friday.
The team
Examples of the boxes I pack. What goes in changes with the person and the season.
One line about each person is plenty. Don't know someone well? Say so, and I'll send the box that suits anyone.
What came back after the boxes arrived
Teams, realtors and law firms order these for the people they work with. Here is what a few of them told me.
We ordered boxes for our year-end employee gifts. Every single person on the team messaged me to say thank you. That has never happened before.
Director of People, SaaS company, Toronto
We used to send gift cards. Now we send these. The response from clients has been completely different. People remember the box.
Account Manager, Consulting firm, Vancouver
Boxes to a different address for every person on our remote team. Looked great, no issues. Will order again.
Operations Lead, Fintech startup, Calgary
Three teams who have ordered, written up from what they sent me, not quoted word for word.
Order dates for December
A December team order wants two dates on your calendar: Monday, November 16 for a list you want quoted, and Monday, November 30 for an order placed online. Later than that I will still say yes when I can, and tell you plainly when it is tight.
- Packing
- Up to 25 boxes take me about a week, packed in one run so they go out together. For a bigger list I say how long it will take when I send the price.
- A date that cannot move
- Tell me the date and order two weeks ahead: about a week for me, then up to 7 days on the road. I will say if it is tight rather than take the order.
- December
- November is the quiet month to do it. By the second week of December I am packing every day.

Gifting your staff? The tax part is simple.
The CRA treats client gifts, staff gifts and rewards differently, and the rules change, so check with your accountant before you build a program around a deduction (I'm not a tax adviser). Here's the public policy as it stands, and why a box is the easy case.
The CRA threshold for non-cash gifts to an employee at arm’s length, per person per calendar year, counted across every non-cash gift that year
No tax is added to these prices. The CRA counts the value of a gift with any taxes on it included.
One box of any size sits under the line. The Luxury box takes more than half of it.
Read the longer version: gift cards, owners and deductions
A box is a physical, hand-packed gift, which makes it a non-cash gift under the Canada Revenue Agency policy on gifts, awards and long-service awards. There is no near-cash question to argue, the way there is with a gift card. Under that policy, non-cash gifts and awards given to an employee at arm’s length are generally not treated as a taxable benefit while their combined fair market value, which the CRA measures with any taxes on the gift included, stays at $500 or less per employee per calendar year. That $500 is an annual total across every non-cash gift the employer gives that person, not a figure per gift, and it is an administrative concession rather than an exemption written into law.
The Signature box at $119 and the Premier box at $189 sit well under that line, so a single box at any of those sizes generally would not create a taxable benefit for an employee at arm’s length, assuming the room has not already gone on other non-cash gifts that year. The Luxury box at $299 fits under the line too, though it takes more than half the room, so there is not much left for other non-cash gifting to the same person that year. The threshold does not apply to people who are not at arm’s length, such as owners, shareholders or their relatives, where a gift is generally a taxable benefit whatever it cost.
If you are weighing a box against a gift card, the rule changed in 2022. A gift card is not always taxable, but to stay non-cash it has to be closed loop, usable only at a named retailer or group of retailers, it has to say on its terms that the balance cannot be turned into cash, and the employer has to keep a gift-card log. Miss any one of those and the card is near-cash and taxable whatever the amount. A box removes those conditions and the bookkeeping that comes with them, so you keep normal expense records and nothing more.
Whether your business can deduct the cost is a separate question from whether the employee is taxed. The two tests run independently and deductibility turns on your own facts, so confirm it with your accountant rather than treating it as automatic.
This is a general summary of public Canada Revenue Agency policy, not tax advice. Tax outcomes depend on your own circumstances. Confirm with your accountant before you rely on it.
Questions people ask before they order
Not on the list?
Ask me anything before you order. I answer every email myself, within a business day: team@swipegifts.com
Do you make corporate gift baskets and hampers?
Yes. I pack them in a rigid gift box that closes with a magnet, filled the way a basket or a hamper would be, for the person it's going to. Each one has a handwritten card, and shipping is free anywhere in Canada.
What goes in a corporate gift basket?
Here is an example of what goes in each size. Signature, $119: a mug, coffee or tea, a premium blanket, a gold-tone spoon and chocolates. Premier, $189: everything in Signature, plus a gold-tone pen, a premium notebook and premium chocolates. Luxury, $299: everything in Premier, plus a watch or a fragrance valued at $100 or more. These are examples, not a fixed list: the exact pieces can change with the season or the person, and you can tell me anything to leave out. Every size comes in a sturdy, rigid box with a magnetic lid, made to be kept.
Do I have to talk to anyone?
No. You can order 5 to 25 boxes right here and pay by card, all to one address or each to their own. For more than 25, or to pay by invoice or PO, send me the list (there's a quote link under the order form, or just email me) and I'll price it and invoice you.
Can the baskets be different from each other?
Yes, that's the default. Give me a line about each person when you order and I pack each box to suit them. Same price, whatever you tell me.
Can each card say something different?
Yes. One message for everyone, or a line for each person. There's a place for it in the order form, and I write every card by hand.
Can you put our logo on it?
Yes, on the card, and it's free. Add your logo in the order form (or email it to me) and I print it inside every card. The message is still written by hand, and nothing is printed on the box.
Where do they ship?
Anywhere in Canada, free, all to one address or each to their own. You choose when you order and add each person's address on the list. A box takes 1 to 7 days in transit. I can't promise an exact date, so give a team order about two weeks.
Can I see the boxes before they ship?
Yes. Ask when you order, and I'll send you a photo of your boxes before they go out.
How do I pay, and what do I get for the books?
By card at checkout, or by invoice for larger orders. You get a receipt with the order on it, and no tax is added. Nothing inside any box shows a price.
Can I send just one or two?
Yes. One or two boxes, like a closing gift for a client, are an ordinary order on the shop. Email me your logo and I'll put it on the card.
What if someone is away, or allergic?
Just tell me. I'll hold their box or swap what's in it, at no extra charge.
Can you handle a big list?
Up to 25 boxes take me about a week. For a bigger list, I'll tell you how long it will take when I send the price, and nothing goes ahead until you say so.
Start with five.
No contract, no program. Order five boxes this month, tell me about the five people, see how they land, and do the whole team in December if it works.
