I pack each one by hand, so the photo shows the style rather than the exact box.
The photograph is the $99 box. The larger size is the same box with more in it.
Type it on the card below, up to 280 characters. I write it onto the card that goes on top.
The card is the part they keep.
You type it when you order. I write it out in pen on a real card and set it on top, so it is the first thing they read.
280 characters left. Your message goes to checkout with you.
What a box like this holds
What goes in changes with the season, so I describe it by feel rather than listing it. The shape of it never changes.
I lead with a puzzle book, because the worst part of recovering is the empty afternoon.
Something in here is meant to be played, which matters as much for whoever is sitting with them.
The chocolate is dark and good, and it is the part that makes a slow day bearable.
I add a trail mix so there is something to pick at that is not another biscuit.
One box, two sizes
The same box and the same handwritten card either way. The larger one is everything in the smaller box and about two more things, picked the way the rest of it was picked.
Want to choose what goes in?Build your own box and pick the pieces yourself, from $50.
People send this one for
The box is matched to the person, not the date, so the same one works for most of them. Pick the occasion and I will lean the contents that way.
Distractions for bedrest days
The days can feel very long when you are confined to bed. This box offers a light, fun distraction to keep their mind active and pass the hours during their recovery.
Why it brightens their day
A leather-bound puzzle book and fine-tipped pens keep them occupied, while a deck of cards, a dark chocolate bar and a trail mix fill the empty afternoon. Ships free in Canada.
A leather puzzle book, fine liners, and a deck of cards to pass the time.
Questions people ask me
Can I send this directly to them?
Yes, and most people do. You enter their address at checkout and I ship it straight to them, with no price on anything inside, so it arrives feeling like care rather than a purchase.
How quickly will it arrive?
Shipping is free across Canada and the box arrives in 1 to 7 days in transit. There is no paid upgrade, so order early when the day matters.
Can I include a message?
Yes. You write a short message at checkout and I write it out by hand on the card inside the box. It is the only message they see when they open it.
Is this a good gift for someone recovering?
It is made for exactly that. Each box is calm and practical, the kind of comfort that helps someone rest and feel looked after without asking anything of them.
What is the difference between the two sizes?
How full it is, and nothing else. The gift box is $99 and holds about five things. The larger box is $119 and holds everything in the smaller box plus about two more things, picked the way the rest of it was picked. Same box, same handwritten card, same free shipping anywhere in Canada. The photograph on this page is the $99 one.
If you are not sure which size, write to me at team@swipegifts.com and tell me who it is for. I read every email, and I write back.
